Wreck-It Ralph, a smashing success
Wreck-It Ralph
Brilliantly planned, masterfully executed, stunning animation.
Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” is a hilariously creative twist on the how the “bad guy” of our favorite videos games feel because they are hated so much. The main character, Ralph, is the villain of the arcade game “Wreck-It Ralph”. He finally decides he doesn’t want to be hated anymore, so he take matters into his own hands. He goes on a quest to become the hero. It reminded me of a re-mixed “Megamind”.
I was entertained from start to finish on all the imaginative ideas from the mint-mento stalactites hanging above a Diet Coke lake to a hang out hub located in a surge-protector that all characters go when they aren’t in their game. Various arcade game characters coming together in one movie created a hilariously real aspect to them.
The character development was fantastic; each character had their own unique personality that truly stood out. Sarah Silverman’s voice was matched perfectly for the cute little girl Vanellope, one of the main characters.
Is it just me or are modern animations just as entertaining to older folk as they are kids? I already can’t wait to watch this movie again to catch all the subtle jokes! I have to say, Disney really impressed me with this one. Even the initial trailer was hilarious; a bunch of villains gathered at a Bad-Anon meeting sharing their struggles with being “bad”.
After four long months in the theater, “Wreck-It Ralph” at last came out on DVD on March 5. Enjoy!
